Day
1: Takeover from AIRPORT - Most
international flights lands in night - we provide takeover
from airport and shift to hotel. Take rest. If you are
coming from DOMESTIC FLIGHT- you can reach CHANDIGARH
same day.
Day
2: Reaching CHANDIGARH - In moderate traffic
of DELHI- it can take 5-6 hrs in reaching CHANDIGARH.
Chandigarh is modern and planned city of INDIA. Do have
a visit in evening at internationaly famous ROCK GARDEN,ROSE
GARDEN and SUKHNA LAKE.

3: Reaching MANALI- We start travel after breakfast
and very soon we find ourselves in VALLE OF GODS- this
is famous KULLU VALLEY.

4: Rest Day - We suggest you to take local
walking in mountain as this willhelp you in getting
acclimitized to mountain air.

5: Keylong-Baralacha, 74 kms
Visit Suraj Taal and Camp on the Pass.

6: Pass-Kinlung,
12 kms Trek
Trek downstream Yunam fiver. There is one Sarai for
shelter at this camping ground.

7: Kinlung-Serchue, 13
kms Trek
Trek along the right bank of the Yunam river on Manali-Leh
highway. One may bathe in the hot water springs right
on the bank of this river.

8: Tser-Foot of pass,
8 kms Trek This is arduous climb. Very good view
of Lingti plains is had from there. Interesting rock
formations may be attributed to massive erosion.

9: Serchue-Lungun,
12 kms Trek
Trek along Tsarap nullah. The track is very steep &
bouldery.

10: Lungun-Tser, 12
kms Trek
From Lungun follow right bank of the nullah. One may
have to ford the nullah about five times before reaching
the flat camping site on the right bank at Thachhung
Ri or Tser. The nullah is surrounded by Siberian willow
forest. Ibex, Bharal, marco polo sheep, marmots and
wild ass may be seen around the Camp.

11: Foot of pass-Foot of Glacier,
12 kms Trek
Cross over this high pass, alti 17800 feet. Tread on
the glacier and camp just below it on the left bank
of the Prang Chu.

12: Glacier camp-Kyatonullah, 11
kms Trek
Descent is difficult. Camping just on the right bank
of the Kyato nullah on a fiat patch surrounded by Caragana
Shrub.

13: Nullah-La Darcha,
12 kms Trek
Following right bank of Kyato nullah till its junction
with the Spiti river. From there take the track to reach
La Darcha famous for its fair in the month of July.
La Darcha ground was the centre of barter trade between
Tibetans and Spitans.

14: La Darcha-Kibber,
12 kms Trek
The climb is steep to this highest village in the world
connected with road transport. Visit monastery at Kibbar.

15: Kibber-Kaza, 8
kms Trek
On way visit the famous Kye monastery. For onward journey
from Kaza see also Keylong to Kaza via Kunzom Pass.

16: Kaza-Shichling,
12 kms. Trek
Lots of poplars, willow and hippophae trees can be seen
along the river. Snow cocks and blue sheep are found
in abundance. Halt at Shichling. Visit the famous Dankhar
fort and monastery. In the past Dankhar used to be the
capital of Spiti. Dankhar is situated on a high precipice
that projects into the Spiti valley.

17: Shichling-Poh,
15 kms Trek
Unlike other places in Spiti this village looks green.

18: Poh-Tabo,
12 kms Trek
Trek is easy along the Tabo nullah. Tabo has come to
be known as the Ajantas of Himachal Pradesh. The gompa,
built in 996 AD is situated just above Tabo village.
Exquisite murals and wall paintings can be seen in the
six-chambers here. The place is being prepared for stay
of Dalai Lama after his retirement.
